Smile Malawi 2015

Hello to all my lovely readers, I AM SO SORRY I HAVENT POSTED IN SUCH A LONG TIME !!!  I have recently started doing my a levels and it has been so hectic ! 

But I am back with a more posts to do with my favourite time of year !!

Every year in my school we do a thing called smile week. Smile week supports a charity based in Malawi (Africa) called smile Malawi. Smile Malawi was set up back in 2002 and my school has been supporting this life changing charity since 2007 ! Smile Malawi focuses on helping rebuilding orphans life's. 

During this week there are many activities that go on for example we do our own version of take me out and Britans got talent (which always go down a hit ! 😊)

But also for only sixth form, there are dress up days everyday. Monday- movie day, Tuesday- international, Wednesday - double acts, Thursday- horror and Friday - anything goes.

On Monday I was penny from one of my favourite musicals HAIRSPRAY ! Tuesday my and a few friends were American cheerleaders, Wednesday me and my friend based ourselves on Alice in wounderland , I was Alice and she was the White rabbit, Thursday I based my makeup on zoella's Halloween makeup for the "as darkness falls" party last year. And to end off an extremely fun week, me and a few more friends decided we would be the spice girls ! I was ginger spice although I'm not ginger. Hehe

GCSE Results day !!

Yesterday was the most nerve - racking and scariest day of my life !! I got my GCSE Results !!! Although I am not the only person in the whole entire world to get their results I still find it a really scary day !! 

For two long years I had been studying my GCSEs which leads to the final steps of my school life !!!! How scary is that.... End of school completely the rest is just choices !! 

I know it's a day late but I wanted to wish everyone who say their GCSEs this year congrats on your results ! Hopefully they were what everyone wanted ! I know mine were! And I want to wish everyone the best of luck for the future !!!

Sorry this is a really short post but hope you guys enjoyed it !!!

Dress number 2 is finally complete !!

After many stress free weeks and time off from school due to finishing my GCSE's I have been able to complete the second dress that I was making ! 

As I'm sure many of you are not aware but I am dreaming of becoming fashion designer when I am older! And to help with that dream I have created a few pieces to help kick start my career (hopefully). 

This time round I have decided to go vintage chic and create a dress based on the 1950/60s. To do this I used I navy and white polka dot silk like material to make the actual dress, and to add a bit of volume I brought a black petticoat , to make it look vintage! 

This compared to the other dress I made which was based on the London Underground , was the hardest to make ! Due to the material being really "fiddly" and having a mind of its own.

Baking: Tanya Burr's Triple chocolate cookies

Hey hey lovelies,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while I have been sooooooo busy and had a few things going on. Recently me and my friend Niamh who you may know as Niamh Jones , from her YouTube channel, created Tanya Burr's triple chocolate cookies ..... And oh my god they are amazing ! For me cookies have to be soft on the inside and a little bit crunchy on the outside and this is just how Tanya makes them ! Let me know in the comments below about how you like you cookies. Alexander McQueen exhibition 2015: Review

Hi lovelies,

This was the most amazing experience of my life!!! In my eyes Alexander McQueen was one of the most amazing fashion designers of the 21st century !! If you are like me and love fashion and want to persiste in a career in it then I suggest you visit this exhibition. 

Alexander McQueen may not be your favourite artist or you may think that his work is rather disturbing then I do see where you are coming from, however this exhibition teaches you a lot of valuable life lessons for if you want to persiste in this career.

The exhibition itself is based in the Victoria and Albert museum in London,UK. Although we had to pay to enter it , I felt it was well worth the money! Many people just say "oh it's only clothes in a room" but I'm sure many of you will agree but that is the closest thing to Alexander McQueen himself now that he is no longer with us. 

I don't want to give too much away just incase any of you are planning on going to see it, but the exhibition itself is based on his collection savage beauty , along with his last ever collection that he cat -walked in spring/summer '10 before he passed away in February! For it was an experience that I will treasure forever! 

Whilst walking round I noticed a quote that was along the lines of "when I die I want to be remembered for changing the way that the 21st century fashion is and I want to be remembered for starting it all!" I know this is not the exact quote but I feel that it is very true as personally I feel that he is remembered for his outrageous designs!

Starting a blog

Hi guys, I have been wanting to start a blog for a long time now and I have realised that now is the time to do it or it will never get done ! I'm hoping for my blog to be about all things fashion , beauty and anything lifestyle ! I hope to share with you any ideas and tips I have and I hope you share some with me too!!

Benefit skin care collection: review

Have u tried the benefit skin care collection ? If not then you need to in my eyes as it is amazing ! I don't know what I would do without it now!

I received this little gift set of the benefit skin care collection for my birthday back in June as I started to have issues with my skin. Ever since I have used these amazing products my skin has made remarkable improvements! Compared to many skincare products the benefit collection uses natural ingredients that don't harm the skin, they also have a very gentle smell as sometimes a skincare product can have a really strong smell , meaning it can be quite harsh on the skin.

In this gift pack is all of the benefit skin care range just in smaller bottles! Perfect for taking on holiday. It includes a 'foamingly clean' facial wash which helps cleanse the skin and removes any make up or impurities, that is then followed by  the 'refined finish' facial polish which gently exfoliates the skin and helps minimise the Appearance of pores. This is only used once or twice a week as instructed. Thirdly you receive  the 'moisturising prep' tonning lotion which helps keep skin hydrated and smooth.  Another one of the amazing products in this pack is the 'triple performing ' facial emulsion which is oil-free and includes spf 15 to help protect the skin. To finish off with , this amazing little gift also contains the 'totally moisture' facial cream and the eye cream to help keep skin smooth and hydrated.

These products are amazing , all benefit products are incredible but these are by far the best !! I saw incredible results with in weeks of using these products !
